Our Beginning

Journey started in the summer of 2004 with a group of fourteen people who had a vision to reach the community around us.


We began holding weekly services on January 29, 2005. Our first services were held in the elementary school at China Spring. Our group quickly grew from 75 to 150 people.


The Lord blessed us by giving us the chance to buy an empty hardware building at 10424 China Spring Road.


We remodeled the building and began to use it for our Sunday morning gatherings, children’s ministry and other church events. Our first Sunday in the new building was March 26, 2006.

Growing at Journey

Since 2006, Journey has continued to grow. 

  • 2012

    Added a second service on Sunday morning.

  • 2013

    Built addition for Journey Student Ministries and major parking lot expansion.

  • 2018

    Added one hundred seats to our Sunday morning gathering.

  • 2019

    Purchased two acres of undeveloped land adjacent to our current location.
